About this Journal

Publication Ethics

As we look after an emerging field of study, and seek to nurture a new community of scholars and practitioners, both the publisher and editorial collective of Southeast of Now are alive to the possibility of research misconduct, intentional or inadvertent. In no event will misconduct be encouraged or knowingly allowed.

In the event that the journal’s publisher and/or editorial collective are made aware of any allegation of research misconduct, the publisher and/or editorial collective shall deal with the allegation/s. If appropriate, the publisher will publish corrections, clarifications, and apologies, which will be appended to the offending article in all online and updatable versions of the article. Corrections, clarifications and apologies will also be published as soon as possible in the next printed edition of the journal. If correction and clarifications are not sufficient to repair the damage caused by research misconduct, the editors and publisher will consider retractions of articles. Any disputes around corrections or retractions will be resolved with the guidance of the editorial advisory board.

If you wish to raise questions of research misconduct in material published in Southeast of Now, please write to the Editorial Collective or to the publisher at nus_press_submissions@nus.edu.sg.
