Le transnationalisme dé-routant et nomadique des réalisatrices marocaines

Si les réalisatrices marocaines ont toujours produit des films transnationaux, ce mode de production au-delà des frontières s'est intensifié et diversifié depuis le tournant du millénaire. Une nouvelle génération de réalisatrices, qu'elles soient cinéastes de passage ou implantées au Maroc, a trouvé d'autres façons d'assembler des équipes créatives transnationales et de puiser dans des fonds d'origines géopolitiques diverses qui leur ouvrent des possibilités thématiques au delà du Maroc ou de la francosphère européenne. Leurs films peuvent alors traiter de sujets (macro et micro) politiques souvent tabous au Maroc à partir d'une position solidaire. Ce faisant, la réalisatrice adopte une posture 'nomadique' : elle suit la route qui mènera aux ressources nécessaires à sa production et reviendra toujours à son point de départ : le Maroc. Cet article montre comment le transnationalisme de ces nouvelles nomades opère dans les productions récentes de Dalila Ennadre, Leila Kilani, Narjiss Nejjar, Tala Hadid, Kathy Wazana et Sonia Terrab.

Although Moroccan female directors have always produced films transnationally, their productions across borders have intensified and diversified with the newer generation of filmmakers since the turn of the millennium. Whether they are cinéastes de passage or reside in Morocco, these directors have discovered ways to assemble transnational, creative teams and to obtain new funds of diverse geopolitical origins, which have led to thematic possibilities with horizons larger than that of Morocco or the European Francosphere. On their less traveled paths to transnational production, they produce films that deal with (macro- and micro-) political topics often taboo in Morocco, from a position of solidarity. In that, each director adopts a "nomadic" position as she follows the route to the resources needed to produce and circles back to her departure point: Morocco. This article shows the transnationalism of these new nomads in recent productions by Dalila Ennadre, Leila Kilani, Narjiss Nejjar, Tala Hadid, Kathy Wazana, and Sonia Terrab.
