Abstract

résumés:

This article focuses on the work of Frank Smith and Franck Leibovici, two French experimental poets who work with or from the recycling of legal documents to generate poetry. This article questions the terms and consequences of these engagements showing how the appropriations create new poetic objects that enable readers to reconsider the relations between life, discourse and power whilst offering new perspectives on the relationship between literature and politics in French contemporary poetry.
