Abstract:
Moroccan-Spanish author shares a fictionalized account of the complexities of immigrant family dynamics, especially those between females, particularly mothers and daughters. Her stories lend depth, humanity and dignity to the lives and trials of Moroccan immigrants to Spain, and demonstrate the significance of storytelling among immigrant families as a way to retain tradition and honor family history.
