Although Robert Frost and Ernest Hemingway are two of the most widely recognized American writers of the 20th century, they have rarely been considered together. In fact, only two scholars, Linda Wagner-Martin and George Monteiro, have published books on both authors. To begin filling in this surprising scholarly gap, the Robert Frost Society and the Hemingway Society cosponsored a roundtable at the 2007 Modern Language Association (MLA) meeting in Chicago. Here, session chair Suzanne Del Gizzo, moderator Camile Roman, and panelists Hsui-Ling Lin, Scott Donaldson, George Monteiro, and Thomas Travisano share their thoughts.
