Las bestias se ocultan;
el cielo, hasta el suelo.

En húmeda alcoba,
la rutina mata
amores gastados.
Y en zaguán de gloria,

una adolescente
mujer comienza a ser.
Reino de la loba,
del diario, la radio.

Los truenos que cantan
como rubricando
relámpagos verdes
entre la floresta.

Una mosca adorna
un resto de vino
en celeste mantel
de breves migajas.

from the unhealthy boredom
of one rainy day

The mud degrades:
poor walker!
The beasts hide themselves;
the sky, to the ground.

In a humid chamber,
routine kills
wasted loves.
And in halls of glory,

an adolescent
woman becomes.
Realm of the wolf,
of the daily paper, the radio.

Thunder that sing
as labeling
green lightning flashes
throughout the lush grove.

A fly decorates
a leftover wine
on celestial tablecloth
of small crumbs.

Llueve y es domingo.
El mundo está lejos.
Cae el horizonte
por aguas de oestes.

El campo revive,
igual que las musas
del bardo del pueblo.
¡País de suicidas!
Más allá, los tiempos;
por acá, la muerte.
Todo es un silencio
en pueblo pequeño.

Si llueve. ¡Oh, dioses!
Si llueve en mi pueblo.

It's raining, and it's Sunday.
The world is far away.
The horizon falls
through western waters.

The country revives,
same as the muses
of the town's bard.
Country of suicides!

Over there, the times;
over here, death.
Everything is one single silence
in a small town.

Does it rain? Oh god!
