French Issue

The articles published here on the Flaubert novel came out of a conference organized at Johns Hopkins on October 5, 2012 that marked the 150th anniversary of the publication of Salammbô. The texts collected in honor of the critical work of Jean Starobinski come out of a symposium held at Johns Hopkins on September 30, 2011. Both of these conferences were organized with the support of the Department of German and Romance Languages and Literatures and of the Louis Marin Center of Excellence.
