Teena found a pen one day, a beautif�l Car�ier that her father so delicately kept in soſt cotton in a drawer. It was mesmerising. She t�ied it. And on that day, blue on white became her ill, perhaps today more of a skill. Unsure, she has never stopped writing about those people she knew, lives lost, wars fought, or�han mig�ants, all those things she heard, too much for her brain, but never enough for her pen. Sometimes too painf�l to write about, her stories took for� in poetic verses, a lang�age easier to hide t��ths into. Two things Teena has since then known: She would foreverwrite about Mauritius, her motherland, happy or other�ise. MoshumeeTeena Dewoowas bor� a child of Surinam in Mauritius, on a 23rd December. She g�ew up in bet�een a mountain and the beach, r�nning the fields and climbing t�ees, and herhead in books, and lear�ing of things that herparents and g�andparents thought best she knew.
