Juice God grant us juice and the will to share it; the knowledge to distinguish the lords from the tyrants; the courage to say what we have to say and get off the stage (wisdom of any kind accepted most gratefully); the resolve not to curse when miracles don’t happen (files were kept open ten full years — that’s long enough); the strength to know we don’t need respectability or even desire it; the sense to settle for constant reinvention in the absence of life everlasting; the faith to resort to wild prayers at the last possible moment. I did not want to show you what I have become I did not want to shock you with how I have decayed I did not want to be condemned to this. Whosoever believeth in me is one sorry animal indeed that belongs to the wrong club and hath no future but whosoever believeth in you shall require no further insurance: one policy covers all catastrophes, the reservoir of our commonality. I flatter myself that I now believe I know what I was intended to learn.
