The Cartesian subject, as a character, appears otherwise, temporally dynamically, if and when phenomenological attention is paid to the mode of self-presentation as well, announced as such: Larvatus prodeo (I advance masked); note how Descartes flips the argument of the inner skeptic without destroying it. Such a subterranean, intersubjective and dialogical dimension of the Cartesian text is hintingly highlighted.
