Acknowledgments Most people who read and cherish anthologies have little idea of the strange and taxing difficulties that beset those who edit them. This is a book we are particularly happy to see completed, since although it was conceived a long time ago, a number of arcane and pesky difficulties found their way into our path, not the least of which was the problem of collaborating with authors around the world.
