4°° IRISH POLITICS AND SOCIAL CONFLICT APPENDIX B The three resolutions concerning the grant of Free Trade to Ireland, introduced to the British House of Commons by Lord North on December 9, 1779, and passed on December 14, 1779: 1. That it is the opinion of this Committee that it is expedient to repeal so much of any of the laws passed in Great Britain, as prohibit the exportation from the Kingdom of Ireland, of all woolen manufactures whatsoever, or manufactures made up, or mixed with, Wool or Wool Flocks. 2. That it is the opinion of this Committee, that it is expedient to repeal so much of an Act, made in the nineteenth year of the reign of his late Majesty King George the Second, as relates to the exportation of Glass, Glass Bottles, or Glass of any denomination whatsoever, from the Kingdom of Ireland. 3. That it is the opinion of this Committee, that it is expedient to allow the trade between Ireland and the British Colonies in America, and the West Indies, and the British Settlements on the coast of Africa, to be carried on in like manner, and subject to the same regulations and restrictions , as it is now carried on between Great Britain and the said Colonies and Settlements; provided all goods and commodities of the growth, produce, or manufacture of such colonies and settlements, shall be made liable, by laws to be made in Ireland, to the same duties as the like goods are or may be liable to upon importation into Great Britain.
