xiv Green Economy and Climate Mitigation About the contributors Godwell Nhamo (PhD) Editor and Lead Author Godwell Nhamo is an Associate Professor and a Programme Manager for the Exxaro Chair in Business and Climate Change. The Chair is hosted by the Institute for Corporate Citizenship that falls within the College of Economic and Management Sciences at the University of South Africa. Professor Nhamo holds a PhD from Rhodes University and did his postdoctoral work with the University of Witwatersrand (both in South Africa). He has great interests in Business and Climate Change; Global Climate Change, Climate Policy Negotiation Regimes; as well as General Environmental Management and Policy. Some of his current responsibilities are teaching, research and training in corporate citizenship, sustainability sciences, climate policy, green economy as well as business and climate change. He has spent the past 15 years in the research, consulting and academic worlds. Professor Nhamo has published widely across his areas of research interests. Johan C. Lötter (PhD) Johan Lötter is an Associate Professor in the Department of Economics at the University of South Africa. Professor Lötter has higher education and academic experience stretching over two decades. His fields of interest are environmental economics, urban economics and “economics of the arts”. He is also involved in teaching advanced courses in Environmental Economics. Muchaiteyi Togo (PhD) Dr Muchaiteyi Togo is a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at the University of South Africa. She is positioned within the Institute for Corporate Citizenship in the College of Economic and Management Sciences. Dr Togo holds a PhD in Environmental Education from Rhodes University, Green Economy and Climate Mitigation xv About the contributors South Africa in which she explored the use of systems approaches in mainstreaming sustainable development in universities. Her research interests are in sustainability education in universities, businesses and sustainable development, and climate change. Dr Togo is currently involved in research on climate change issues and sustainability practices in the corporate set-up under the Exxaro Chair in Business and Climate Change. Soul Shava (PhD) Dr Soul Shava is an environmental education and sustainability specialist . He holds a PhD in Environmental Education from Rhodes University, South Africa. He is currently a Senior Lecturer in Environmental Education in the College of Education at the University of South Africa.. Dr Shava has research interests in indigenous knowledge research, its representation in knowledge generation processes at the interface of modern institutions and local communities and its application in community-development contexts and environmental education processes in southern Africa. His other current research interests include community based natural resources management (CBNRM), socioecological resilience, intangible cultural heritage, traditional agribiodiversity conservation, and the use of traditional crops and indigenous food plants by local communities to achieve food security and resilience to climate change impacts. Dr Shava has published widely in his areas of research interest. Senia Nhamo (PhD) Dr Senia Nhamo is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Economics at the University of South Africa. She completed her PhD in Economics with the University of the Witwatersrand in South Africa. This was after a BSc Honours in Economics from the University of Zimbabwe and an MA in Economics from the University of Botswana. Dr Nhamo has research interests in environmental economics, macroeconomics and econometrics. Cecilia J. Van Zyl (MCom) Ms Cecilia J. Van Zyl is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Economics at the University of South Africa. She is currently busy with her DCom (Economics) degree and is doing research on the carbon credit market. Alfred Bimha (MSc) Mr. Alfred Bimha is a Lecturer of Financial Management in the Department of Finance, Banking and Risk Management which falls within the College of Economic and Management Sciences (CEMS) at the University of South Africa.
