He saw the many wares of Floor 27 and 1/2. He saw fraternity paddles and loggerheads; bottled zephyrs and antique dumpsters; cigar store Indians and dynamite headlines. The clerks all wore regulation army uniforms—of the Martian army. On sale were Love and Happiness, Achievement and Gregariousness, all at 27 and 1/2 price. The green bear was a second-story man but not a secondhand man. So he rejected the bargains and opted instead for trifles from the dustbin, like bustards and flits.
