Kurt Daluege : un puissant véhicule de l'idéologie génocidaire de la SS

Dans le cadre de ses fonctions, Kurt Daluege a été un opérateur génocidaire de haut niveau. Au service de l'indicible inhumanité de l'État nazi, il a présidé en partie aux crimes contre l'humanité commis en Pologne, en Bohême-Moravie et en Union soviétique. Mais il a été par ailleurs un véhicule important de la pensée SS. En plus de compter deux monographies à son nom, Daluege a rédigé ou prononcé un grand nombre d'articles et de discours, avec l'aide du personnel de son bureau. D'un point de vue quantitatif, sa production de textes, comparable à celle de Himmler, a été largement supérieure à celle de n'importe quel autre officier SS.

La présente étude a pour objet précis l'idéologie SS telle que comprise et développée par Daluege. Il ne s'agira pas ici de décrire la police d'ordre pour elle-même, par rapport à son organisation et à son évolution. En laissant de côté les fonctions de gestionnaire de Daluege, il s'agira plutôt de présenter ce dernier en tant qu'orateur et en tant qu'auteur de la SS. On essayera ainsi de voir comment Daluege, dès les débuts du régime nazi, a contribué à sa manière à l'expression de la pensée SS, en choisissant d'aborder certains thèmes centraux d'une idéologie dont Himmler représentait, à l'intérieur de l'Ordre Noir, la caution finale. On doit remarquer ici que la pensée de Daluege comportait des éléments singuliers qui lui donnaient une coloration personnelle et particulière, à l'intérieur même de la pensée SS.

As part of his functions, Kurt Daluege was a high-profile genocidal operator who, in the service of the unspeakable inhumanity of the Nazi State, partially supervised the crimes against humanity perpetrated in Poland, Bohemia and Moravia, and the Soviet Union. He also acted as a major vehicle for SS ideology. In addition to having two monographs to his credit, Daluege wrote or delivered a large number of articles and speeches, with the assistance of his office staff. From a quantitative standpoint, his textual output, comparable to that of Himmler, was considerably greater than that of any SS officer.

The purpose of this study is to examine SS ideology as understood and developed by Daluege. The aim here is not to describe the Ordnungspolizei itself—its organization and evolution— or Daluege's managerial responsibilities within it. Rather, this article seeks to present him as both an orator and an SS writer. It aims to address how Daluege, from the onset of the Nazi regime, contributed in his own way to the expression of SS thought through his interpretation of an ideology for which Himmler represented, within the Black Corps, the final guarantee. Worthy of note is that Daluege's thinking included unique elements, which gave it a personal and particular tone within SS thought.
