In recent years, Korean families have immigrated to New Zealand in large numbers. The process of learning to adjust and adapt to a new host country can bring with it opportunities for growth as well as difficulties. Immigrating to a new country often introduces a variety of challenges and stressors, which may influence parenting. A consumer engagement approach was used to solicit information from Korean immigrant parents regarding their parenting concerns and needs to inform parenting program content. The current study used a mixed methods approach to understand the parenting needs of Korean immigrant parents as well as barriers and enablers to participation in a parenting program. Preferred methods of program delivery were also explored. Implications for practitioners and parenting programs are discussed.
