Recently, Hunter McKelva Cole, former marketing director of the University Press of Mississippi and a friend of Eudora Welty, discovered a two-column book review of Isak Dinesen's memoir Out of Africa, written by Welty and published in the Jackson Clarion Ledger on December 4, 1938, page 51. EWR is pleased to reprint Welty's review, which has not been reprinted nor collected elsewhere.
