These letters from Elizabeth Montagu to James Beattie, never published in full before, were transcribed and annotated by the General Editors of the Elizabeth Montagu Correspondence Online (EMCO) project. The originals are at the University of Aberdeen, Special Collections, MS 30: "James Beattie, Professor of Moral Philosophy and Logic, Poet, Essayist and Moral Philosopher: Papers."
