CONTRIBUTORS Geoffrey B. Cockerham is Associate Professor of Political Science at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah. Dr. Cockerham received his Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Arizona with a specialization in international relations. He also received his J.D. degree from Louisiana State University. His research and teaching interests include international cooperation, international institutions, international law and global governance. Recent publications include articles in International Politics, East Asia and the book Globalization and Health published by Polity Press. Dave Colnic is Associate Professor and Director of the Masters in Public Administration program in the Department of Political Science and Public Administration at California State University, Stanislaus. Dr. Colnic earned a B.A. from the University of California, Irvine and an M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of Arizona. His degrees in Political Science inform a multidisciplinary research agenda that focuses on public policy and governance issues, with special emphases on the environment, public participation and engagement, and U.S.-Mexico Borderlands. Juliet Pinto, Ph.D., is an associate professor at Florida International University, where she studies environmental communication. Dr. Pinto has taken students to the Galapagos to report on resource use and management , as well as dived 62’ down to film NASA astronauts underwater. Her award-winning documentary “South Florida’s Rising Seas,” was repurposed by PBS NewsHour for their national newscast Moses Shumow, Ph.D., is an assistant professor at Florida International University. His work investigates the confluence of migration and media in urban geographies, and has been published in Journalism: Theory, Practice, and Criticism, Media, Theory & Critique, and Journal of Urban Affairs. Martha Thomas is an assistant professor of political science at the University of Vermont. Her research interests include the politics of trade, regional integration, and dispute settlement between both state and nonstate actors. Her current research projects focuses on the scientific study of trade dispute settlement in regional trade agreements.
