Richard Ballard is a Principal Researcher at the Gauteng City-Region Observatory, a partnership between the University of Johannesburg, the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, the Gauteng Provincial Government, and South African Local Government Association – Gauteng.
Sarah Charlton is Associate Professor in the School of Architecture and Planning at the University of the Witwatersrand.
Liza Rose Cirolia is a Researcher at the African Centre for Cities, University of Cape Town.
Romain Dittgen is a Senior Researcher in the NRF Research Chair in Spatial Analysis and City Planning, University of the Witwatersrand.
Monique Emser, PhD, is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Social Sciences at the University of KwaZulu-Natal. Her area of research specialisation is human trafficking and interrelated phenomena. She is a long-standing member of the KwaZulu-Natal Human Trafficking, Harmful Traditional Practices, Prostitution, Pornography and Brothels Task Team.
Bill Freund is the former Professor of Economic History, University of KwaZulu-Natal. He is the author of The African City: A History.
Philip Harrison is the South African Research Chair in Spatial Analysis and City Planning hosted by the School of Architecture and Planning at the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg.
