In lieu of an abstract, here is a brief excerpt of the content:

  • Editorial Introduction
  • Melissa M. Littlefield and Rajani Sudan

Configurations has long history of publishing special issues edited by experts in a particular subfield. From “Ecocriticism and Biology” (18.1 and 2) to “Animal Biotechnologies” (21.2) to “Graphic Medicine” (22.2), special issues offer a venue for comprehensive conversation and analysis of emerging questions and concerns in the field. The issue you have in your hands is no exception, but the format slightly departs from our normal arrangement. For issue 24.3, we have elected to include a special section on emotion in/and (neuro) science and literature, edited by Giovanni Frazzetto. Originally trained as a biologist, Frazzetto has proven himself to be an innovative transdisciplinary scholar; we are very pleased to publish this collection of papers by Paul White, Laura Otis, and James Wilkes and Sophie Scott under Frazzetto’s editorial direction. In addition to this special section, you will find two other essays by Hyaesin Yoon and Antje Pfannkuchen and a set of book reviews curated by our Book Review Editor, Jeff Karnicky. We hope you enjoy the rich dialogue created in and through this issue of Configurations. [End Page 277]
