It is an optimistic interactive mechanism where the viewer's own effort can turn the wheel of mediated revolutions. Imaginary Museum ofRevolutions (with Tjebbe van Tijen) is a partially realized proposal for a monumental interactive videodisc installation. At its center, the viewer can explore a large database of processed images, sounds and texts concerning 200 revolutions since the French Revolution . Space, time and ideology constitute the three main interactive paths of this exploration, enabling each viewer to create a new historicity from the data.
