At the Crossroads of Data and Wonder: Algorithmic Visualizations of Fairy Tales on Television

We announce the production and availability of a new research tool for intermedial, intertextual, and transcultural fairy-tale studies. We have repositioned the teleography of Channeling Wonder: Fairy Tales on Television into a data corpus that can be mined and analyzed visually, spatially, and temporally. The current state of the searchable, filterable teleography web app is available at fttv.byu.edu/#datatable. For the study of fairy tales in an intermedial space, we also have a collection of visual representations of the data available at fttv.byu.edu/#visualizations.
