Liu Kang is chair professor and dean of the Institute of Arts and Humanities at Shanghai Jiaotong University and professor of Chinese Cultural and Media Studies, Duke University. He is the author of eight books, including Aesthetics and Marxism (2000), Globalization and Cultural Trend in China (2003), Culture/Media/Globalization (2006), and Demonizing China (1996).
Kwai-Cheung Lo is professor in the Humanities Program and the Department of English Language and Literature of Hong Kong Baptist University. He is the author of Excess and Masculinity in Asian Cultural Productions (2010) and Chinese Face/Off: The Transnational Popular Culture of Hong Kong (2005). He is currently working on a book on minority nationality film of China.
Tonglin Lu is chair professor at Shanghai Jiaotong University and professor at the University of Montreal. She teaches contemporary Chinese culture and cultural theory. Yang Huilin is the vice president of Renmin University of China and chair professor of religious studies and comparative literature, member of the academic committee of China National Fund for Social Sciences, and vice – president of China Comparative Literature Association. He is also the Robertson Fellow of the University of Glasgow, Distinguished Fellow of EDS-Stewart Chair of the University of San Francisco, external examiner of Stockholm University, and academic board member of several Arts and Humanities Citation Index journals.
Zhang Yiwu is professor of Chinese literature at Peking University. His main field of research includes Chinese cinema, literary theory, and Chinese literature. He is the author of Guodu shiqi de wenhua xuanze (Turning Point: Study on the Post-New Era, 1996), Cong xiandaixing dao hou xiandaixing (From Modernity to Postmodernity, 1997), and Qianxi manyan (Gratulation at the New Millennium, 2000).
