EDITOR'S LETTER One of the concerns I have had as Editor of the Review has been, in addition to insuring the continued quality of the journal, to enhance its physical and technical aspects. Although some efforts are frustrated by staff limitations and the inevitable misunderstandings that occur between editorial office, typesetters, and printers, we persevere in the pursuit of quality. A misunderstanding with the printer led to the two blank pages in the Spring issue. We debated whether or not to demand the issue be rerun, but decided that it was better to distribute the copies we had in hand rather than wait the two or three weeks it would have required the printer to rerun the issue. ANNOUNCEMENT Metaphor Conference at Arizona State University "Farfetched Figures: The Humor of Linguistic Deviance," March 31-April 2, 1983.
