CONTRIBUTORS Christopher Flynn is working towards a Ph.D. at the University of California, Los Angeles. His dissertation is titled A BreedApart: NorthAmericans in British Literature, 1763-1842. He has an article forthcoming in Symbiosis and has written reviews for European Romantic Review. Clifford Marks is an associate professor ofEnglish at the University of Wyoming, where he teaches courses in nineteenth-century British literature, critical theory, and the Bible as literature. He has previously published an article on George Eliot'sAdam Bede, and has an article forthcoming on her DanielDeronda. David MuLRY.an associate professor of English at Odessa College, Texas, earned his Ph.D. in English from the University of Kent at Canterbury. He has taught in Greece, England, and France. An essay related to the one published in this issue is currently scheduled for the Spring 2001 Conradian. Deborah L. Berhó is an assistant professor of Spanish at George Fox University. She earned her Master's and doctoral degrees in Latin American Studies at the Latin American Institute ofthe University ofNew Mexico in Albuquerque . She currently lives in Newberg, Oregon. Sally Bishop Shigley is an associate professor of English at Weber State University, who teaches on the Women's Studies and Honors faculties as well.
