Message from the Interim Editors

Welcome to our first issue of Pennsylvania History as the interim editors. Paul Newman has taken a position that no longer allows him the time needed to edit the journal and we have stepped in to continue the journal until a new full-time editorial team can be appointed. We do not expect any significant changes to take place in our short management other than responses may be a bit slower as we learn the ropes. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions.

We would like to thank Paul and his team for doing much of the hard work for this issue (including the key job of choosing the articles), which has allowed for a relatively easy transition. [Begin Page vi]
