A Minor Road to Camelot: Once A Week, 1859-1867

This article catalogues, investigates, and assesses the generally overlooked mass of Arthurian poetry, prose, and illustration, which appeared in the magazine Once a Week during the 1860s. Although the individual items are of only minor quality, cumulatively they form a significant body of work, providing evidence of a range of alternative approaches to the major Tennysonian tradition in mid-Victorian Arthurian literature.
