CONTRIBUTORS TO THIS ISSUE Mark E. Neely, Jr. is director of The Lincoln Museum in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He is working on a study of civil liberties in the Confederacy as a sequel to his most recent book, The Fate of Liberty: Abraham Lincoln and Civil Liberties. Martin Crawford teaches American history at the University of Keele in England. His William Howard Russell's Civil War: Private Diary and Letters, 1861-1862 is forthcoming. Daniel T. Kuehl (Lt. Colonel, USAF) is assigned to the Pentagon, where he develops Air Force doctrine. He is completing a dissertation at Duke University on the USAF and Electronic Warfare, 1945-55.
