ARTICLES AND PUBLICATIONS Edited by Barbara L. Curtis, Crosslands 188 Kennett Square, PA., 19348 In 1986 Friends United Press published Leonard Kenworthy's appraisal of the life and times of his pastor father Murray S. Kenworthy. Living in a Larger World is an illuminating biography of a 20th century Indiana Quaker whose life story expands its horizons to include both the spiritual and social ministries of this energetic man. Professor Peter Brock of the Department of History at the University of Toronto has informed us of an article by Norman C. Freund, "Pacifism and the Holy Experiment; the Reasons for its Failure", which appeared in Gandhi Morg (New Delhi), no. 84, March 1986. The Guilford Review, a publication of the faculty and staff of Guilford College, Greensboro, NC, 27410, has devoted issue #23, Spring 1986, to papers delivered at a symposium held in November 1984 on "The Seventeenth Century World of Ann Conway". Lady Conway, an able spiritual-philosophical thinker, became a Quaker in 1677 toward the end of her life. Walen Bello, under the editorial direction of the Friends Committee on National Legislation, has published a volume of essays entitled Visions of a Warless World. Bello's work, is designed to give perspectives on peace presented by divergent religious traditions. It depicts the hopes they share and the obstacles they face. Excellent bibliographic references are included with each of the eleven chapters. The titles of the unpublished doctoral theses listed below have been taken from the data bases for Dissertation Abstracts International, vol. 46-47 (1985-1986).
