Begin by filling in the words next to the twenty-four definitions. Then transfer the letters to the grid. The grid contains a quotation from a book about opera; once you have written some letters in the grid, you will see words forming. (The black squares in the grid indicate the ends of words, but words can run over to the next line.) Fill in the remaining letters, and transfer them to the words section of the clues. By working back and forth between the clues and the grid, you should be able to discover all the letters. The initial letters of the word answers to the clues spell out the author's last name and the title of the book. Good luck!
