Jennifer Burek Pierce is assistant professor in The University of Iowa's School of Library and Information Science. Her research explores the intersections of print culture and the history of medicine during the late Victorian and early Progressive eras, in the interest of understanding the dissemination of reproductive health information to lay readers.
Jennifer Desiderio is an Assistant Professor of English at Canisius College in Buffalo, New York, where she teaches early and nineteenth-century American literature. She has presented papers on Charles Brockden Brown, Hannah Webster Foster, and Maria Cummins, and she is currently working on an essay collection on Susanna Rowson.
Amy Mccrory is Digital Imaging Specialist in the Preservation Department at The Ohio State University Libraries. She has written about the problems of archiving visual materials that originated in serial publications in "Archiving Newspaper Comic Strips The San Francisco Academy of Comic Art Collection," Archival Issues, 27.2.
Sandra Roff is the College Archivist and Professor at Baruch College/CUNY. She has developed and teaches several Library Studies courses including "Archives, Documents and Hidden History." She has published numerous articles on women's history, the history of education, local history and Afro-American history. She also co-authored From the Free Academy to CUNY: Illustrating Public Higher Education in New York City, 1847-1997.
Janice Wood earned the Ph.D. in mass communication and media arts from Southern Illinois University Carbondale before teaching advertising and mass media law at Texas Christian University. She worked professionally for 15 years in journalism and corporate communication in her home state of Tennessee as well as South Carolina and North Carolina.
