Peter W. M. Blayney is a Professor in the Department of English at the University of Toronto and Distinguished Fellow of the Folger Shakespeare Library, Washington, DC. He has published widely on the book trade in early modern London, and is working on a large-scale study of the Stationers' Company and the printers of London in the period 1501-1616.

Keith A. Manley is Honorary Fellow of the Institute of Historical Research, University of London, and was for seventeen years editor of Library History. He co-edited (with Giles Mandelbrote) the second volume of the Cambridge History of Libraries in Britain and Ireland (2006).

Jane Millgate, Professor Emeritus at the University of Toronto, is the author of Macaulay (1973), Walter Scott: The Making of the Novelist (1984), and Scott's Last Edition: A Study in Publishing History (1987).
