In Memoriam
The editors regret to announce the death of James Harvey Young, in Decatur, Georgia, on 29 July 2006. An obituary appeared in The New York Times
on 11 August 2006; an obituary notice will appear in a future issue of the Bulletin.
We are also sorry to inform readers of the death of Vern L. Bullough on 21 June, in Thousand Oaks, California. Born in Salt Lake City in 1928, he received his undergraduate degree from the University of Utah, the Ph.D. degree in the history of medicine and science from the University of Chicago, and a degree in nursing from California State University. He wrote and edited numerous books on the history of nursing, and on the history of attitudes toward sexuality. An obituary appeared in The New York Times on 3 July 2006.
