Benjamin M. Jacobs, a doctoral candidate in social studies education at Columbia University's Teachers College, coordinates the Program in Education and Jewish Studies at New York University. He is writing a dissertation on the teaching of social studies in progressive American Jewish schools in the early twentieth century.

Ari Kelman is a post-doctoral fellow at the University of Pennsylvania and the National Museum of American Jewish History. His book, Station Identification: A Cultural History of Yiddish Radio, will be published by the University of California Press.

Jonathan Krasner is Assistant Professor of American Jewish History at Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion in Cincinnati. He is writing a book about the representations of insiders and outsiders in American Jewish religious school textbooks.

J. Shawn Landres, a graduate student at the University of California, Santa Barbara, is completing a dissertation on Generation X Jews and "seeker"-style religious services. His most recent book is After The Passion is Gone: American Religious Consequences (2005 ).

Michael MacQueen is Chief of Investigative Research in the Office of Special Investigations of the U.S. Department of Justice. His most recent publication, "The Conversion of Looted Jewish Assets to Run the German War Machine," appeared in Holocaust and Genocide Studies (Spring 2004 ).
