Betsy Erkkila is Chair of the English Department and Henry Sanborn Noyes Professor of Literature at Northwestern University. She is the author of Walt Whitman Among the French (1980), Whitman the Political Poet (1989), and The Wicked Sisters: Women Poets, Literary History, and Discord (1992) as well as numerous articles on Dickinson. Her "The Politics and Art of Emily Dickinson," is in the forthcoming Oxford Historical Guide to Emily Dickinson.
Cynthia L. Hallen received her Ph.D. from the University of Arizona in Tucson. She is now an Associate Professor in the Linguistics Department at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. Her research speciality is the "harmless drudgery" of compiling the Emily Dickinson Lexicon.
Adam Frank is Assistant Professor of English at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, BC.
Ken Hiltner is a graduate student at Rutgers University-Camden. In addition to a recent work published in Milton Quarterly, he has forthcoming articles in English Language Notes and Milton Studies.
Vivian Pollak teaches American literary and cultural studies at Washington University in St. Louis. She is the author of Dickinson: The Anxiety of Gender and The Erotic Whitman. She has also edited A Poet's Parents: The Courtship Letters of Emily Norcross and Edward Dickinson and is currently at work on a study of American women poets "reading" Dickinson.
Morey Rothberg is Editor of John Frankin Jameson and the Development of Humanistic Scholarship in America (3 vols. University of Georgia Press, 1993-2001.
Stephanie A. Tingley teaches courses in American literature, American Studies, and film at Youngstown State University. She has published essays on Dickinson's correspondence and American women poets, and is currently working on a research project on teaching with technology in the humanities, the Visible Knowledge Project. Daneen Wardrop's Emily Dickinson's Gothic was published by the University of Iowa Press in 1996, and her Word, Birth, and Culture in the Poetry of Poe, Whitman, and Dickinson is forthcoming from Greenwood Press; She is associate professor of English at Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo.
