Abstract
This article briefly reviews Wangechi Mutu's recent show Hunt Bury Flee, held at the end of 2010 at Gladstone Gallery in New York. The author locates the strength of the work and analyzes it through the lens of surrealist practices and recent work by other contemporary African artists focused on issues of gender and abjection.
