Abstract:
With their Rolling Jubilee campaign of debt forgiveness, the group Strike Debt restored the behavior of finance capitalists to reveal vulnerabilities in the financial system's continuous exchange of promissory contracts. The Rolling Jubilee transformed debt circulation from invisible, inadmissible market mechanism into a financial performance, and in doing so, raised the question of whether desire for new forms of collectivity are already modeled in financial markets.
