Abstract

On a campus that has dedicated itself to developing appropriate computer competencies in all its students, the need for faculty training has not been ignored. Training sessions varying in length from 1 hour to 2 weeks occur on a regular schedule. Information sharing occurs via newsletters, interest groups, seminars, and demonstrations. The pattern and purpose of these faculty training options will be discussed in this presentation. The objectives, content, faculty experiences, and evaluations from the 1- and 2-week faculty computer workshops will be discussed in detail.
