Following a review of the scope and seriousness of gun violence among juveniles,
particularly in urban areas, this study profiles the black market in gun sales that is a primary
source for juvenile gun purchases. The author concludes that traditional gun-control laws,
which are designed to regulate the transfer, possession, carrying, and use of firearms, have
