First I shall offer a summary of the present state of research with regards to the history of the “Laval-Middleton" Anthology. Second a brief survey will be given of the evolution of the Aspremont in Europe and of the place of the “Laval-Middleton” and “Queen Margaret” Anthologies in it. Thirdly I shall discuss the contribution of the Canterbury versions to that of Queen Margaret. Fourthly–and mainly–I shall examine the contribution of the “Laval-Middleton" Aspremont to that of the Queen's Anthology. In conclusion the making of the wedding-present for Queen Margaret will be studied, as well as the history of the “Laval-Middleton” Anthology after 1447 and to this day, notably in the con-
