American religious conservatives have made it clear that they will no longer limit their
political activism to the water's edge. They are increasingly involved in efforts to influence a
wide range of US foreign policies. The very term by which most conservative Protestants
identify themselves-" evangelical"-announces their intention to carry their message, as
Jesus instructed," unto all the world." But is the world ready for the Christian Right?
