Space: A Thematic Inquiry-Based Art Education Resource (Erickson & Keller Cardenas, 1997-1999), to illustrate how a clearly articulated, broad theme can build connections to students' prior knowledge: how inquiry questions can help integrate students' looking and making experience: and how teachers can use online art reproductions in different ways. Images ofMefeatures" moveable"(Quicktime Virtual reality) reproductions of Chicana/o sculpturesand four lesson plans through which students reflect on their own identities and express those identities in sculptural form. This article examines how four middle and high school art teachers used the Images of Meunit.
