fisheries bibliographies for the Solomon Islands, Western Samoa, Vanuatu, Tonga, Palau,
Tokelau, Tuvalu and the Cook Islands. In mid-1991 a request was received from Kiribati for

In mid-1991 a request was received from Kiribati for assistance in compiling a similar list of references.
For this project a total of 19 offices and collections in Kiribati, Fiji, New Caledonia, the Solomon Islands and Hawaii were examined for both published and unpublished material appropriate for the bibliography. In addition, 11 expatriate workers who had previously worked in a fisheries related field in Kiribati were contacted. Five bibliographic computer researches were carried out and requests for relevant materials were sent to four major university libraries.
