In lieu of an abstract, here is a brief excerpt of the content:

Editor's Comment Articles in this issue cover a broad range of topics. We begin, however, with a "cluster" testifying to our membership's ongoing interest in intercultural , gender, and sexual-preference concerns as those concerns manifest themselves in dramaturgy, performance studies, and pedagogy. Ellyn Kestnbaum analyzes recent developments in gender representation in ice dancing, while J. Ellen Gainor and Ron Wilson reflect upon a pedagogical experiment in integrating theory and practice for a class focused on the topic of gender issues. Steven Drukman, in his dramaturgical analysis of Terrence McNally's Lisbon Traviata, and Keith Appier, in his performance study of Neil Bartlett's Twelfth Night at the Goodman, both engage the issue of audience—and critical—reception of pieces which challenge traditional expectations about the representation of gender and/or sexual preference. Samuel J. Zachary moves into inter-cultural territory in his comparative study of theatre of the deaf in the U.S. and the former Soviet Union. Although we do not usually publish bibliographies, our membership's growing interest in the Internet stimulated us to print two short pieces as a service to those members who have not yet ventured into this new territory. Anne L. Fliotsos provides a brief catalogue of listservs, as well as easy-to-follow instructions on how to access them. Ken McCoy shares with us his bibliography of Internet theatre resources. We encourage those of you who are exploring computer applications to theatre pedagogy to share your experiments with us, as well. The discussion of ethical issues in theatre practice and pedagogy has intensified in recent years, as we in the profession have become more aware of the ethical implications of our work. This summer, the ATHE Visionary Task Force on Ethics will present its report at the 1995 Conference. In our closing comment on process, Jill Taft-Kaufman adds her voice to the discussion with reflections on her own evolving ethical awareness. Due to the positive response to our first "Writing for Journal Publication " workshop, we will be offering that workshop again at the 1995 ATHE Conference.
