REVIEW OF THE XXIX ANNUAL MEETING OF THE DIVISION The twenty-ninth annual meeting of the Southeastern Division of the Association of American Geographers was held November 23-25, 1974, at the Sheraton-Biloxi Motor Inn in Biloxi, Mississippi. The host institution was the University of Southern Mississippi. Jesse O. McKee was the chairman of the local arrangements committee. James O. Wheeler was chairman of the program committee. There were approximately 300 persons registered for the meetings. After the Division membership was welcomed by William D. McCain , President of the University of Southern Mississippi, and William M. Roberts, Chairman of the Department of Geography, University of Southern Mississippi, a program of 72 papers occupied two days. James J. Parsons, President of the Association of American Geographers, addressed the banquet on the subject, "Mound-Builders and Ridged-Field Farmers as Pre-Columbian Landscape Engineers." In the honors competition, the winners were Richard E. Lindenberg , Georgia State University, and Steven W.
