REVIEW OF THE XXV ANNUAL MEETING The twenty-fifth annual meeting of the Southeastern Division of the Association of American Geographers was held November 22-24, 1970, at the Sheraton Columbia Inn, Columbia, South Carolina. The host institution was the University of South Carolina. E. E. Hegen was in charge of the program committee. A near-record 255 persons registered. After words of welcome by William C. Ouzts, Mayor of Columbia, and William H. Patterson, Provost of the University of South Carolina, a full program of 70 papers occupied two days. Norton S. Ginsburg, President of the Association of American Geographers, addressed the banquet on the subject, "The Lure of Tidewater." In the honors competition for the best papers by graduate students, the winners were Douglas C. Wilms, University of Georgia; and David A.
