Abstract
Synthesizing the University of Florida’s archival material, Robert A. Schanke’s fascinating biography of playwright Cal Yeomans fills a void in gay theatre scholarship. This critical review praises the book, as well as poses academic questions provoked by the detailed account of Yeomans’s life that Schanke offers.
