Schumacher, S.TD., is the former director of the Family Life and SocialJustice Office ofthe Diocese ofYakima,Washington and adjunct professor for the IRPS program ofthe University of Dallas in Portland, Oregon. After a year of post-doctoral research at the University of Tübingen, she is currently a "collaboratrice scientifique externe"in the theology department ofthe University of Fribourg in Switzerland, where she lives with her Swiss husband and their one-year-old daughter.
