Contributor Notes John Polkinghorne recently retired from being President of Queens' College, Cambridge. He is a Fellow ofthe Royal Society, an Anglican priest, and in 1997 he was knighted by the Queen. Robert LouisWilken is theWilliam R. She holds a degree in English Literature from Oxford University and in 1993 she was awarded an Honorary Doctorate at St. Mary's College , Notre Dame, for her contribution as her father's biographer and literary executor. She is married with five sons and lives in London. Fernando Cervantes is Lecturer in Hispanic and Latin American Studies at the University ofBristol, England. He is the author of The Devil in the NewWorld (New Haven:Yale University Press, 1994) and has published extensively on the religious, cultural, and intellectual LOGOS 2:2 SPRING 1999 194 LOGOS history of Spain and SpanishAmerica. He has also written "AVision to Regain: Reconsidering Christopher Dawson," New Blackfriars (October, 1989), and "Christopher Dawson and Europe" in Eternity in Time, ed. Stratford Caldecott & John Morrill (Edinburgh: T & T Clark, 1997). Roger Duncan holds the Ph.D. in philosophy fromYale University . He taught philosophy at the University ofConnecticut, Hartford Branch, for twenty-seven years, currently teaches philosophy at Holy Apostles College and Seminary in Cromwell, Connecticut, and is the author ofnumerous articles on classical andThomistic philosophy . He is one ofthe founding members of the Promisek Center atThree Rivers Farm, Connecticut. Brian Conniff isAssociate Professor ofEnglish at the University of Dayton. He is the author of TheLyric andModern Poetry and articles on T S. Eliot,W H. Auden, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, and others. He is currently completing a book onW H. Auden and modern theology. Michèle M. Schumacher, S.TD., is the former director of the Family Life and SocialJustice Office ofthe Diocese ofYakima,Washington and adjunct professor for the IRPS program ofthe University of Dallas in Portland, Oregon. After a year of post-doctoral research at the University of Tübingen, she is currently a "collaboratrice scientifique externe"in the theology department ofthe University of Fribourg in Switzerland, where she lives with her Swiss husband and their one-year-old daughter. She has published theological articles ofvarious themes in several journals and collections.
