Editors' Note

The Editors of LEGACY will publish a Special Issue devoted to the First International Conference of the Society for the Study of American Women Writers, to be held in San Antonio on February

14–17, 2001. Presenters at the conference are invited to submit for consideration articles based on their conference papers, round table participation, or participation in any alternative format. Submissions should be revised versions that adhere to the standard expectations for scholarly articles: that is, they should be in a form suitable to be read rather than heard, and they should include in-text documentation and a list of Works Cited. We have set the deadline to allow authors time to incorporate in their articles questions, comments, and discussion in response to their conference presentations. Unrevised conference papers or transcripts of discussions cannot be considered. Authors should follow the usual guidelines for LEGACY submission except that for this Special Issue the maximum length is 5,000 words. Deadline is March 30, 2001.
